Suzuki Verona
The Daewoo Magnus is
a mid-sized sedan sold by GM Daewoo positioned
to compete with the Hyundai Sonata. It is
manufactured in South Korea for GM Daewoo
Auto & Technology (GMDAT) by Daewoo Incheon
Motor Company at its Bupyeong facility.
The
previous-generation model was the Daewoo
Leganza (model V100); it was produced from
the 1997 to 2002 model years. The Leganza
provided the basis for the current Daewoo
Magnus (V200), which has been in production
since the 2000 model year and was known
as Evanda in Europe. Following the establishment
of Chevrolet Europe, all Daewoos were rebranded
Chevrolet in 2005.
A Chevrolet Epica, which
is a more luxurious sedan in Canada as a rebadged
MagnusThe Chevrolet Epica is sold in Canada
in two trim levels, the LS and LT. Both have
(for model year 2005) a 2.5 liter inline six
cylinder DOHC 4 valve per cylinder engine
developing 155 horsepower at 5800 RPM, and
177 ft·lbf of torque at 4000 RPM, driving
the front wheels through an electronically
controlled four speed automatic transmission.
The car is positioned as an economical luxury
entry, with the LS model equipped with 8 way
power seat, 15 inch alloy wheels, 4 wheel
disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control,
and CD player.
