Jeep Treo Concept
Looking more like something
constructed out of Lego, the Treo is called
“playful” and “bold”.
To many it looks like traditional Jeep wheels
stuck onto a Smart Car. It is a drive-by-wire
fuel cell driven miniature is a step away
from models like the Liberty and the Grand
Cherokee. The name Treo (meaning three) comes
from the strange seating arrangement where
only one passenger can sit in the back (but
I with the cars size one would guess that’s
a blessing). The third seat reminds one of
a rumble seat on early model Fords.
The Treo has classic
jeep features like the vast exposed grill
and the two wise “eye stalk” headlights.
The wheels are exposed, which pushes the model
closer to looking like a toy. The steering
wheel can be slid from one side of the car
to the other, which means if you mean to float
your Treo across the Atlantic Ocean (if you
survive) you wont be daunted by British traffic.
The Treo is considered “Urban-Active”
by its makers, which means that if the Treo
ever makes it onto the market it will be sold
to students who like to carve dirty words
into the sod at the park.
