Honda FCX Concept
Looking like some tricked-out
speed bubble from some weird move about the
future, this fuel cell driven vehicle supposedly
has face recognition software that adjusts
the car for any recognized person that approaches
the driver’s side door. Honda leads
the way in post-petroleum technology and they
have outdone themselves with the FCX. With
5000 PSI fuel-storage tanks and a fuel-cell
stack half the size of the previous model,
the car can hold five kilograms of hydrogen,
raising its range to 350 miles… 150
over the previous 200 miles.
The FCX is more than
a car… it is a collection of advanced
electronics that will “reduce driver
burden”. Another notable feature is
the full-length sunroof, which makes the car
fell sort of like a fishbowl on wheels. Of
course there isn’t any plant to mass-produce
the FCX line any time soon, mostly due to
a lack of hydrogen stations and the high production
cost of each vehicle.
