Chrysler Firepower Concept
It would be very hard
to say no to the Firepower. The Calibre, the
Magnum, and now the Firepower… OK, who
says America has a gun fetish? But you can
hardly blame anyone for the name because it
does in fact look like a bullet… and
move like one. With a proposed top speed of
175mph and doing zero to sixty in less then
four and a half seconds the Firepower also
behaves like a bullet. Make no mistake though,
if the Firepower makes it into production
this won’t be some rich racing enthusiast’s
“track only” plaything. This monster
is billed as a high-power luxury sedan, complete
with five speed automatic transmission, deep
leather seats, and a interior good enough
to be inside any limousine.
Built off of a Viper
chassis and sporting a Hemi V8 the Firepower
has (surprise surprise) some serious power.
Impressive billet aluminium wheels (19x12
inches in the front and 20x12 inches in the
rear) give the overall impression of speed.
There is a massive tinted sunroof that goes
all the way to the tailgate and the concept
car (the production model is expected to look
somewhat different) is covered in chrome detailing…
making the body look like a cocked pistol.
The hood has the same characteristic ridging
as the Crossfire and the more sporty (by degree)
ME-412.
